TruckFit App
UX/UI Design
What was the project goal?
The goal of this project was to create an application for truck drivers to prevent back pain. Back exercises that can be integrated into everyday life - timer and reminder function, which are individually adapted to the workday, integrate movement and activity into the day of a truck driver. In addition, the Bluetooth function of the app allows you to operate a massage mat individually.
What was my role in this project?
The TruckFit group project was part of a UX seminar. My role in this project was to compose the competitive analysis, create personas, user stories and user journeys. Furthermore, I participated in the co-design of the wireframes and different design variants and Figma components.
What was the end result of the project?
The end result of this project was a fully-functional prototype, which was implemented in Figma.
Process
Target Group
We have narrowed down our target group of truck drivers using the so-called “Sinus milieu”. We have classified truck drivers in the traditional and nostalgic middle-class milieus.
Goal Formulation
With the help of Simon Sinek's thought model “The Golden Circle”, we were able to precisely determine and define the goal of our application.
Competitor Analysis
In the competitive analysis, we compared websites and apps on the topic of back pain and evaluated them. It was important for us to analyze and understand the state of the art.
Personas
Personas reflect the attributes, motivations and typical behavior of the target group. Creating a diagram of the persona was a clear help to get into the situation.
User Journey
When creating the user journeys, we thought about how the user uses the application and the cycle before and after use. We described the individual steps in the application from the user's point of view.
Wireframing
Before we built the first wireframes, we created a collection of wireframe kits. The whole thing was very helpful to better understand the basic structures of building different applications.
Component Creation
In the end, we opted for the black and blue style. It's straightforward and given the time aspect, it was the better decision for us.
Prototyping
When we finished everything, the last step was to prototype in Figma.
